1. Who we are

This website is operated by the Salma Khatoon Foundation (“the Foundation”, “we”, “us”), a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 2016 (Licence No. 1019, granted 1 December 2016), and holding the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy Seal of NPO Good Practice (PCP-2024/1381).

2. Terms of use

This website is for general information about the Foundation and its programmes. It does not offer any service, sale, registration or transaction online.

You may view, print and share links to this site for personal, non-commercial and journalistic purposes. You must not:

• use the site, its content or the Foundation’s name in any way that is unlawful, misleading or harmful;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, interfere with its operation, or copy it by automated means at a scale that burdens it;
• present yourself as acting for, endorsed by or affiliated with the Foundation without our written permission.

Unauthorised access to, interference with, or misuse of information systems and data may be an offence under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.

We try to keep the information here accurate and current, but programmes, figures, timings and services change. Please confirm anything important with us directly before relying on it.

3. Medical disclaimer

Nothing on this website is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and reading it does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Medical care is provided only in person, at the health center, by its qualified staff.

4. Fees & fraud warning

Token fees. Our services are free for anyone who cannot pay, and no one is refused care or help for being unable to pay. For some services, people who can afford it are asked for a small token fee. Fees are paid only in person, at the Foundation in Sahiwal, to authorised staff. All fee income is applied, in full, to the Foundation’s charitable objects — care for those in need and additional services — as our SECP licence requires. None of it is distributed as profit.

We do not ask for money any other way. The Foundation is funded by the Tariq & Asma Farid Foundation and does not ask the public for donations, deposits or advance payments of any kind — not through this website, by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or social media, and not through bank transfer, JazzCash, Easypaisa or any other channel.

Anyone asking for money in our name, offering jobs or places on our programmes in exchange for payment, or using our name or logo on another page or account, is not acting for us. Please do not pay. Report it to us, and to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency on helpline 1799 or at complaint.nccia.gov.pk.

Our only official social accounts are the ones linked from this website.

5. Privacy notice

What this website collects. Nothing that we see or keep. The site has no forms, no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

What third parties receive. When you open the site, two services receive technical information that every browser sends, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the time of the request:

• our hosting provider, which keeps short-term server logs to deliver and secure the site;
• Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on the page.

These providers may process that information outside Pakistan, under their own privacy policies. We do not receive it, combine it or use it to identify you.

If you contact us. If you phone us or message one of our social accounts, we use what you tell us only to reply and to help you. We do not sell, rent or share it for marketing, and we disclose it only where the law requires.

Patient information. Medical records are never collected through this website. They are kept at the health center, in confidence, under the obligations that apply to healthcare providers in Punjab.

Children. The site is not directed at children and collects no information from them.

Your choices. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, using the details in section 15. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.

Our approach. We respect the right to privacy and dignity protected by Article 14 of the Constitution of Pakistan. Pakistan does not yet have a comprehensive data protection law in force. We follow the principles set out in the draft Personal Data Protection Bill, collecting as little as possible, using it only for the purpose it was given, and keeping it secure.

6. Photographs & consent

Photographs on this site show our work as it happens. We take care to protect the dignity of everyone we serve, and we seek consent before publishing identifiable images — from a parent or guardian in the case of children.

If you appear in a photograph here and want it removed, or are the parent or guardian of a child who does, contact us. We will remove it promptly, without needing a reason.

7. Name, logo & content

The name “Salma Khatoon Foundation”, the Urdu name سلمیٰ خاتون فاؤنڈیشن, the jasmine mark, and the text, photographs and design of this site belong to the Foundation or are used with permission. They are protected under the Copyright Ordinance, 1962, the Trade Marks Ordinance, 2001, and other applicable law.

You may quote short passages with clear attribution and a link to this site. Using our name, logo or photographs on anything else — including fundraising, products, social media accounts or other websites — requires our prior written permission.

8. Published certificates

Copies of our SECP licence and our PCP certification are published only so that the public, partners and authorities can confirm our status. Each copy is marked for verification.

They may not be downloaded for reuse, reproduced, edited, or presented as belonging to any other person or organisation. Altering or misusing these documents may be an offence under the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, and the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016. The originals remain the definitive record. For independent confirmation, contact the issuing bodies directly.

9. Other websites

This site links to Google Maps, Apple Maps, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, the Tariq & Asma Farid Foundation, and public bodies. Those services are run by others, under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

10. Liability

This website is provided “as is”, free of charge and for information only. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan, the Foundation, its directors, staff and funders give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful code, and are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Sahiwal, Punjab. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

12. Language

Urdu text on this site is provided for convenience. If an English and an Urdu version differ, the English version applies.

13. Accessibility

We aim to make this site readable on any phone, with every image described for screen readers. If something is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it, or give you the information another way.

14. Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
